The affairs of the church are directed by the elders and deacons working with the authority of the Church Members.
Here’s a little more about us…
The Pastor
The church employs one full time worker as Pastor and Elder of the church. David Smith has been the pastor of Over Baptist Church since August 2004. David was brought up in Mooi River, South Africa, and is an avid Springbok rugby supporter.

For 11 years prior to commencing his ministry at Over, David was working in management in the retail industry in South Africa. David is married to Rebecca and they have two children, Naomi (18) and Caleb (16). David and Rebecca were married in 1994.
The Leadership Team
David is supported by a team of five deacons. Some of the deacons have specified tasks and areas of responsibility, and they're shown below.
The entire team works together to direct and serve the church.
