We held an event on 4th November 2017 and there were two special challenges:
#1 To build a scene from a movie or a fairytale.
#2 To build something to add to our Scalextric sets.
Some amazing creations were constructed and the morning was greatly enjoyed by the many who attended.
We enjoyed another LEGO morning on 16th December and we'll be pleased to see you again next year!
A group of 15 attended a tour of the museum on Monday 27th February.
The Whipple Museum's collection includes scientific instruments, apparatus, models, pictures, prints, photographs, books and other material related to the history of science.

Bowling at Pidley
We enjoyed a night out on Monday 20th March at Lakeside Lodge,Pidley.
We were a group of 32, with 26 bowlers and another 6 joining for a meal.
As always there was much fun and laughter and many prizes to be won.
The prize for the best improver of the night was awarded to Mathew Burrell.
The coveted ‘wooden spoon’ prize was awarded to Helen Swain this year.
Mario Kart Wii challenge
On Saturday 25th March, to trial something new, we set up a huge back lit screen (8ftx6ft) and converted the room into an arcade-style venue.
We invited a small number of guests and 4 at a time raced on Wii Mario Kart, whilst another group enjoyed the challenge of Scalextric.
Following a break for Bacon rolls the enthusiastic young people then displayed their athleticism as they enjoyed a number of Wii Just Dance routines.
The morning started at 10.00 and we wrapped it up at 12.00 noon.
The event was a fantastic success and we hosted a second evening in May.
A visit to the Murray Edwards College gardens.
A group from the church thoroughly enjoyed a tour round the
college gardens on 19th May. We've posted a few photos from the
event for you to enjoy too.
A farm visit with Les Cook.
In June a group from the church thoroughly enjoyed a visit to Les Cook's farm in Over. He showed us around his farm and talked to us about the cattle breeds he farms. We've posted a few photos from the event here for you to enjoy too.
Over village carnival.
The village enjoyed another fabulous carnival on July 15th. As in past years the church booked a double plot and we were able to provide a game, a space for children to relax and build DUPLO, and the quiz was as popular as ever. Thanks to everyone involved in making the day so enjoyable.
A Summer outing to Hunstanton.
In August a large group from the church enjoyed a day out at the seaside. A fish-and-chips lunch was followed by a BBQ at Haddenham on the way home.
The annual BBQ.
The annual BBQ was held on 27th August following the morning worship service. As always, a superb event spent in the company of good friends.
The annual Day Centre Quiz evening.
On Friday 20th October the annual Quiz Night in aid of Over Day Centre was held. Always a popular event, this year was no exception with 12 teams comprising 6 members each competing to become the champions. Quizmasters Mike and Kate Day were the best of comperes, offering trivia rounds on a variety of topics which included picture rounds, and challenging hand-outs. The 2017 fundraiser was the most successful it has ever been with £626.25 having been raised.
